The Mazda MX-5 becomes nearly perfectly balanced when you are sitting in the driver’s seat. Distributing the car’s weight evenly between the front and rear helps to enhance directional control and cornering stability.
The Mazda MX-5's iconic soft-top can be unlocked and dropped in one step and with one hand, right from the driver’s seat. Should the weather or your preference change, the “assist spring” mechanism makes closing the top just as easy.
The position of the LED low beam, the parabolic-type LED high beam and the turn signal layout produce more intensity and better visibility for better driving.
The exhilaration of the Mazda MX-5 convertible is more than the sensation of carving through S-curves with the wind in your hair. It’s an all-encompassing experience, and it starts exactly at the moment you see it.
Mazda's Adaptive LED Headlamps provide the ultimate in headlight technology, lighting up the road ahead as if it were daytime and allowing anybody to enjoy safe and stress-free driving at any time of day.
The system increases visibility at night to help drivers stay vigilant by combining three technologies: Glare-free High Beams, which automatically dim part of the illuminated area to avoid dazzling other drivers; Wide-range Low Beams, which light up a wider area at low speeds; and Highway mode, which helps you see further when travelling at speed.
A new technology unique to the MX-5, Kinematic Posture Control provides a more integrated and stable turning posture when cornering at high speeds.
The MX-5’s rear suspension is designed to generate an 'anti-lift' force that pulls the vehicle’s body down when the brakes are applied. Kinematic Posture Control takes advantage of the suspension's characteristics, and applies a slight brake to the inner rear wheel when cornering under conditions with high G-force. This suppresses roll and stabilizes the posture of the passengers.
When traveling at speeds of 65kph or faster, this available system gives you audible and visual warnings when it detects that your vehicle is about to unintentionally depart from its lane.
