Mazda Philippines Hosts Its First Invitational Golf Tournament

Driven by Connection, On and Off the Course

Lipa City, Batangas — April 24, 2026 — Mazda Philippines recently held its first-ever  Invitational Golf Tournament at Mount Malarayat Golf & Country Club, bringing together dealer  partners, collaborators, members of the Mazda community, and valued clients for a day defined  by both the game and meaningful connections.

More than a tournament, the event was thoughtfully designed as a shared experience—an  opportunity to step away from the everyday, enjoy the rhythm of the course, and strengthen  relationships in a relaxed and welcoming setting that reflects the Mazda spirit.

“At Mazda, we’ve always believed that meaningful connections are at the heart of every  journey. This tournament reflects that—bringing together our partners, clients, and community  in a setting that encourages genuine interaction and shared experiences. It’s not just about the  game, but about the people we journey with,” shared Steven Tan, President and CEO of Mazda  Philippines.

Set against the lush landscape of Mount Malarayat, the day unfolded at an easy pace— conversations between swings, light moments across fairways, and time well spent among  peers. While camaraderie took center stage, participants were also given the rare opportunity to  elevate the excitement of the game, with a chance to win a hole-in-one prize: a brand-new  2026 Mazda3 Fastback—a fitting reward for a truly exceptional shot.

The tournament also recognized outstanding players across divisions. In the Ladies Division,  Isabel Delos Reyes was named Champion, with Carolyn Pedro as 1st Runner-Up and Patricia  Henson as 2nd Runner-Up.

For the Men’s divisions, Tyson Sy led Men’s Class C, followed by Steven Tan and Tristan Calixto.  In Men’s Class B, Roy Jeremiah Gonzales took the top spot, with Nerwin Ordillano and Daniel  Go completing the podium. Meanwhile, Benjamin Abalos Jr. emerged as Champion in Men’s  Class A, joined by Javier Toledo and Grand Marvin Doria.

Lawrence Celestino was awarded Overall Gross Champion, while Raphael Tolentino secured  the Overall Net title.

The event also welcomed Mazda clients who joined the brand this year, offering them a closer  look at what Mazda stands for: a community that values connection, shared moments, and  experiences beyond the drive.

At its core, Mazda continues to be grounded in people—fostering relationships that go beyond  the road, and creating experiences best enjoyed together.
