The 360° View Monitor positions cameras at the sides and either end of the Mazda CX-5 to give you a complete view of the vehicle's immediate surroundings so you can make the right calls and judgments when maneuvering amidst tight spaces or obstacles.

Like having an extra pair of eyes, Smart City Brake Support monitors the road ahead with a windshield-mounted laser sensor to see if there are objects or pedestrians to watch out for. If a risk of collision is detected between speeds of 4 to 30kph, the system alerts the driver and primes the brakes to deliver maximum stopping power upon applying the brakes. If the driver does not react, the system automatically brakes the vehicle to a stop.
The Mazda CX-5 is equipped with our very own adaptive cruise control system—Mazda Radar Cruise Control. Not only does it maintain a set speed on the highway, but it also uses a millimeter wave radar to constantly monitor the relative speed and distance to the car ahead and automatically adjusts vehicle speed to maintain a safe, preset distance from the vehicle in front, relieving some of the burden on the driver on long drives and highways.
Visibility just behind your line of sight can be a challenge. Using radar technology, Blind Spot Monitoring scans the area 50 meters behind either side of the car to detect vehicles approaching from behind and in adjacent lanes. It alerts drivers of approaching vehicles by displaying an icon in the appropriate door mirror. If the driver signals a lane change when a vehicle is in the blind spot, the icon flashes and a warning beep is sounded.
Using cameras mounted on top of the windshield, the Mazda CX-5 detects lane markings on the road and alerts the driver if it detects that you are unintentionally leaving your lane. Combined with the Lane-Keep Assist System, which applies corrective steering to bring the car back within the proper lane, you can enjoy each drive with extra peace of mind. The system also recognizes intentional lane departure manuevers when turn signals are used.
