Eliminates the need for costly after-treatment systems

SKYACTIV-D achieves top-level environmental performance without the aid of expensive purification systems that use rare metal. This eliminates the need to replenish the liquid additive conventional diesel engines require, thereby reducing running costs.

New technology ensures cold-start capability and reliable operation

SKYACTIV-D realizes ideal combustion by using a relatively low compression ratio, and this realizes cleaner emissions and higher energy efficiency.
