Bermaz Auto Philippines, Inc. has begun construction of a multimillion-peso warehouse and training facility in the province of Laguna.
Located within a 2.5 hectare property along Pulo Road in Cabuyao, Laguna, the new Mazda Philippines Warehouse and Technical Training Facility will have a vehicle storage compound that will be able to secure up to 1,000 cars, 800 of which will be covered and shielded from the elements. To complement this, a brand new Pre Delivery Inspection and repair facility for on-site vehicles shall also be built within the property.
A new 2,000-square meter administration building and state-of–the-art Technical Training Center will likewise be established in the estate to serve as the head office for BAP. The second floor of the building will house a hostel for trainees, especially for those who will come from provincial Mazda dealerships.
The new establishment will also be a 100% “green” facility as it will incorporate solar power technology to provide electricity to warehouse and office operations. Tan says the facility will not be dependent on the existing power grid for its electricity requirements. Rainwater collection equipment will also be used to recycle water for use in vehicle cleaning and office maintenance. These efforts to convert to non-traditional sources of energy and recycle and repurpose harvested resources, such as water, all adhere to Mazda’s global Sustainable Zoom Zoom 2030 plan to have people, earth and society coexist as the company promotes driving pleasure.
“The construction of our very own Mazda Warehouse and Training Facility is a milestone for the brand and BAP,” says Steven Tan, president and CEO of Bermaz Auto Philippines, the exclusive distributor or Mazda vehicles and parts in the country.
“As we break ground on the new corporate building and warehouse, BAP demonstrates its resolve to strengthen Mazda’s long-term business here in the Philippines. Our goal is to provide our customers with the best possible products and services. With this facility, we aim to deliver on this promise through the proper preservation of our products and the constant updating of the knowledge of our sales and aftersales personnel.”
The Php250-million construction project is earmarked for completion by November 2019.
