• Mazda2, Mazda3, Mazda6, CX5 and BT50 already surpassed 2012’s full year sales volume.
• BT50’s sales volume already highest on record.
• Quarter3’s sales volume is 65% ahead of same quarter last year, outpacing overall industry growth by more than 400%.

Manila, Philippines, October 14, 2013 – Mazda Philippines’s Q3’s sales performance, under the stewardship of Berjaya Auto Philippines Inc. (BAP) since January this year, zoom-ed ahead of the industry by more than 400%. Mazda’s sales performance in Q3 grew by 64% compared to same quarter last year. Year to date September sales result is 41% better than last year, with improvement coming from across the vehicle portfolio, particularly Mazda2, Mazda3, newly launched Mazda6, CX5 and BT50.
“Our Mazda products with SKYACTIV fuel efficient engines are gathering momentum, with more and more customers appreciating the fuel saving benefits of Mazda Skyactiv technology without sacrificing performance.”, said Mr Steven Tan, CEO and President of Mazda Philippines.
He added “Our dealer partners have done a tremendous job of strengthening their sales team and after sales service operation since the Berjaya Group assumes Mazda distribution early this year.”
Under Berjaya, all Mazda new vehicles sold since January this year receive 3-year free preventive maintenance service, including lubricants and parts under the maintenance schedule. On top the 3-year free service, the customer also receives 3-year free emergency roadside assistance, as well as the 3-year warranty. The free package, called Mazda YOJIN3 Total Care Package, is provided at no additional cost to the customers on all new Mazda vehicles.
“So far this year, the Mazda dealers have opened new dealerships in Metro Manila’s C5, in Luzon’s Tarlac, Cavite and Cabanatuan and in Visayas’ Ilolilo. Later this year, Mazda Davao will open its door. Next year we will see about 3 or 4 new dealerships opening to extend the availability of Mazda products to more customers across the country”, Mr Tan said.
