April 9 2015, Manila — Mazda Philippines elevates the excitement at the 2015 Manila International Auto Show, or MIAS, with the unveiling of an all-new lineup of Mazda vehicles within the largest Mazda booth ever in the Philippines. Spread over a floor space covering 1,000 sqm, nearly all 13 vehicles on display are all-new or upgraded for 2015.
First ever reveal in South East Asia is the highly anticipated 2016 MX-5 Skyactiv 2-seater roadster, which celebrated its 25-year anniversary last year with the limited 25th Anniversary Edition. The 2016 MX-5 at MIAS is the latest generation of the best-selling sports car in the world, showcasing Mazda’s KODO-Soul of Motion design language and engineered with the full suite of SKYACTIV Technology and powertrain.
The main attraction of the show will no doubt be the all new 2nd generation Mazda2 sub-compact car, featuring both sedan and hatchback variants. Earning the prestigious 2014-2015 Japan Car of the Year Award, the all-new 2015 Mazda2 is the fourth model in Mazda’s new-generation of vehicles that adopt the full range of SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and KODO—Soul of Motion design language. The all-new Mazda2 promises to change the driving quality and craftsmanship standard of the sub-compact car forever.
Introduced in 2013, the flagship Mazda6 Skyactiv executive sedan was awarded the 2013 Car of the Year in the Philippines and the CX-5 compact SUV as the 2012 Car of the Year Japan – both models are now upgraded with Mazda’s latest design ideas and new technology like Mazda Connect HMI (Human Machine Interface) system and the most advanced front lighting system in the auto industry — Adaptive LED Headlamps technology. Adaptive LED Headlamps automatically provides the optimum front illumination for any driving condition. A fastback Mazda6 Wagon is now added to the lineup as a stylish alternative choice to the premium executive category. Both CX-5 and Mazda6 have evolved into a more mature expression of the KODO: Soul of Motion design philosophy.
Rounding up Mazda’s offering for MIAS 2015 are the highly acclaimed Mazda3 sedan and hatchback models as well as the Kodo-inspired Mazda CX-9 mid-sized SUV.
Mark Bumgarner, Philippines’ most promising young designer, will open the Mazda booth with his own new Mazda Collection fashion pieces – with 20 catwalk models on a fashion runway specially created within the Mazda booth.
Joining Mark Bumgarner’s fashion parade are Cosmopolitan 2014 8 Sexiest Models.
MIAS is open from April 9th to 12th, from 10AM to 10PM.
